Corporate gifting is changing but is it for the better?

Corporate gifting isn’t what it used to be.

There’s been a quiet but steady shift away from the usual pile of plastic pens, throwaway freebies and random gifts. Instead, more businesses are choosing sustainable merchandise from businesses that reflects not just their brand but their values.

This change isn’t just about looking good. It’s about doing good and also making great impressions.

People, customers, employees, and communities are a lot more conscious and paying closer attention to the items companies give out. From questioning who made the product, where it came from, the benefits - the list is endless.

These are questions that matter.

When businesses choose eco-friendly promotional products and ethical branded merchandise, they’re making more than a marketing decision. They’re making a statement about what they stand for.

From showing your environmental responsibility to supporting real people and communities, your products can build lasting trust and resonate with those who you share them with.

If you’re thinking about making the switch, here are some practical, well-loved options that our co-founders swear by:

Joey Li, CEO & co-founder says: “Recycled tote bags is what I’d recommend. Everyone loves a tote-bag for their shopping, weekend, putting gifts inside for friends and family. But if it’s not recycled anymore, why bother?! There are so many options out there now like fair-trade cotton, recycled materials and it’s not even a huge price difference. You’re cost the earth more by not choosing better materials. I always check the labels to see what totebags are made out of now.”

Thuta Khin, COO & co-founder says: “Plant-based stationery and notebooks are my new obsession. I’ve seen notebooks made with sugarcane paper or even stone paper. I also love seeing any clothing or accessories being made with more eco-conscious materials over the conventional. My tip is researching first. Recycled materials are always top of the list for being sustainable and if not recycled then organic.”

These aren’t just items. They everyday essentials that people can actually use, without creating unnecessary waste.
